Looks like the Packers have something to play for -- the only way they secure the 6th seed is with a win. However, they will remain in 7th if Washington wins.
Both games are on at the same time so I don't see anyone resting their starters here.
Packers - 34
Bears - 14
God-willing Caleb stays healthy and plays well. If the line can't protect him, get him the fuck out of there and put Bagent in to close out the season.
48 seconds. Down by 1. Ball on the (-) 20 yard line. 1 timeout remaining.
I don't see any way the Bears win this, unless Caleb plays out of his mind.
Though, it would be very Bears to manage a basically meaningless win, wouldn't it?
Still...I can't pick the Packers, because FTP. So...

Do they?
What's at stake for them?
Have they made any statements about their intent?
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but if they want the #6 seed they need to beat us and Washington needs to lose.
Both games are at noon. Perhaps some scoreboard watching but I would think they want to win so they face the Rams rather than the Eagles.
I hope they face the Eagles and get SMOKED.
Typically speaking...
NFL teams opt to rest when it comes to the difference in seeding situations like this. I am not saying it is right or wrong. Simply that history dictates Green Bay not caring overly much about the difference between 6th and 7th seed.
Personally, I would rather play at Rams or Tampa Bay and be 6th. However, I am fairly certain they'll take it easy. Especially considering that they don't even control the 6th seed currently.
Packers just lost to the Vikings. They need a win. They will also be one and done in the wild card round.
Bears are a mess.
Bears - 10
Packers - 42
Who ever thought the Bears HC search would have to wait until the Lions completed their post season run?
What alternate universe is this?
Did I fall down the wrong trouser leg of time?

Packers beat us and move from the 7th seed to the 6th seed.
Commanders beat Dallas and move the Packers back to the 7th seed.
7th seed Green Bay faces 2nd seed Philadelphia in the Wild Card game and gets SMOKED.
Bears end up with the 7th pick after Jacksonville defeats Indianapolis and the New York Jets defeat the Miami Dolphins.

That's my question - do they seem to give a crap about 6 vs 7 seed? Or do they value rest more?

This is from the AP today: The format means the No. 1 seed in each conference is very important because it guarantees a wild card round bye and homefield advantage until the Super Bowl. For the other 12 teams in the opening round, the No. 7 seed travels to the No. 2 seed, No. 6 goes to No. 3 and No. 5 travels to No. 4.

can't wait to hear some braindead "expert" extoll the virtues of "this historic rivalry" in order to get those who don't know any better to actually tune in ... when your opponent has beaten the snot out of your team 10 straight times, and made all of them look easy, there is no rivalry any more so you can throw that alleged motivation out the window
even if Green Bay plays their reserves the entire second half they could still likely win by 20 ... the Bears "victory" on the day will be only losing by 18

Boils down to facing the Philadelphia Eagles (as the 7 seed) or the LA Rams (as the 6 seed).
Unless they are absolute morons () they should want to win this game and face the Rams in the Wild Card.

Bears will win this game.
It will be the first time since week 12 they’ve scored any points in the first quarter.
It will be the second time this season they’ve scored points on their opening drive.
I don’t have any logic or reason, it’ll happen because illogical things happen to the Bears.
