Who needs Rodgers when you've got Rudolph!

Let's be realistic here... it would have to be at least this year's and next year's R1!

Fields gets $40m with $30m guaranteed. Mack gets $7m with $5m guaranteed.

After their rookie season I seem to recall people being higher on Mack than Fields...

Not sure what one gets paid makes that person better or worse than another. They are both journeymen at this point. Both on their 3rd teams in their short careers. I would not want either as my starter.

Pay certainly doesn't make a person better or worse than another. It's an interesting reflection of their perceived value as players though, especially given that they were both drafted in R1 in the same year and only 4 picks apart.

I just do not understand why some of these teams are holding out for A A Ron. Do they not read the paper? Do they not see this dude is a quack and is definitely a "me" player? His skills have diminished. These teams to get a young guy and begin the process of starting over. A A Ron will not bring them a ring. It is sickening.

He's a cancer.

But - coaches/GMs who don't feel that they'll be allowed to rebuild and/or search for a QB for 2-3 years get desperate.

Cam Heyward on potential addition of Aaron Rodgers: 'Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't'

Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro defensive tackle Cam Heyward is tired of waiting to find out who will quarterback his club in 2025.

During the latest episode of the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast, the star said he's "tired of talking about the quarterback situation."

"I'd rather have it done. I don't know what ends up happening," he added. "Ugh, I'm ready to move on from free agency."
...

Asked specifically what his pitch would be to Rodgers, Heyward gave an indifferent answer.

"I ain't doing that darkness retreat. I don't need any of that crap," Heyward said, referencing Rodgers' well-publicized retreat before he joined the Jets two years ago. "Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. That's simple. That's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers. If you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don't, no skin off my back."

Heyward added that he would never push a player to make a quick decision. The 35-year-old essentially gave one big metaphorical shrug at the entire situation.

"I will never tell a man what to do or how to do it, but if you want to be part of the group, be part of the group," he said.
