$15M/season for a FA LT is a reasonable salary. Cost have gone through the roof in FA.

It's a lot for a guy that averages 3 starts a year and has only ever been a backup.Arkansasbear wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 12:54 pm $15M/season for a FA LT is a reasonable salary. Cost have gone through the roof in FA.

I get that, but this time of year anyone who is going to get penciled in as a starter is getting a silly amount of money. Teams have no discipline. Just like the Mack deal, it's a crazy number $18M but it's what he'd going to get. Heck, I'm shocked that's all Mack got.wab wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 1:04 pmIt's a lot for a guy that averages 3 starts a year and has only ever been a backup.Arkansasbear wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 12:54 pm $15M/season for a FA LT is a reasonable salary. So they've basically swapped a guy who's been an All-Pro OG for an OT who's been a career backup, a $1m a year saving this year and a R4 pick next year.

Looks like the 49ers might be focused on the OL in the draft...

Aaron Banks to the Packers is a weird one. Didn’t really think they need a lineman.

I hope my assumptions on Banks turn out to be true. He was a guy I just had a bad feeling about even though I don't have a concrete reason for it. He's been pretty decent.wab wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 3:27 pm Aaron Banks to the Packers is a weird one. Didn’t really think they need a lineman.
